These Witcher 3 mods let you play as a woman and have companions
Everyone knows that The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia is a manly man, known just as much for his martial prowess as he is for his practice of the arts of sexomancy.
But if you’re one of those players who wants to tap into a different perspective on the art of witchery, then this mod is for you. Developed for Witcher 3: Wild Hunt by a modder known as “ParKan11,” it lets you undertake the adventures of Geralt of Rivia as either Triss Merigold, Yennefer of Vengerberg, Ciri or Shani.
Like any mod, the transition is not complete. Conversations and cutscenes will still have your character speaking in Geralt’s voice, which can be disconcerting. Furthermore, despite the presence of unique combat animations for each character, you will continue to have the moves like Geralt. Lastly, the mod isn’t compatible with any of the DLC armors.
Still it’s an impressive mod, as is the “Spawn Companion” mod, which enables you to take Ciri, Lambert, Eskel and fan favorite Ves along with you on your adventures. The latest changelog for this mod indicates that compatibility with other mods has been “improved,” though that’s far from a guarantee. Other cool Witcher 3 mods available on Nexus — which let’s be honest is a good reason to be a PC bragger — include improved textures, Gwent fights, and Infected Mode, which is basically a horde mode for witchers.
