Upcoming Story of Seasons announced!
In what the world once knew as Harvest Moon, Marvelous Entertainment’s Bokujō Monogatari (or Story of Seasons internationally) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with a new game in the series. The Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns is the latest in the farm simulation role-playing franchise and will be released in Japan on June 23, 2016. Its North American release, however, is slated to arrive next year, in 2017.
As the title suggests, eager farmers are free to explore between three new locales, each distinct with differing personalities and culture. Lulucoco town is an exotic town with mysterious ruins surrounded by a beach. Tsuyukusa Town is more Asian-influenced where you will find a river and a bridge while Wes Town is Western-influenced town and is mining-based. New farmers will start from Wes Town. Each town features its own crops, animals and bachelors/bachelorettes. Other features familiar to the series also include character customization, house customization, various breeds of pets, etc.
To enhance the experience the players can connect over Wi-Fi. This and other features will be revealed at E3 and closer to the games release as told by Xseed.
As publisher Natsume still owns the rights to the Harvest Moon trademark in the United States, a new title is currently being developed for Western audiences. Harvest Moon: SkyTree Village, as the company announced, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS and more details will be revealed this E3 1016.
